My career began in the late 80s at a french inspired restaurant on Chesapeake in historic Virginia, working under an Austrian born Cordon Bleu trained chef. After training there for 4 years, I spent 2 summers working in Spain and Italy where I discovered my true love for food and travel. Upon my return from Europe, I studied at Johnson and Wales University in Norfolk, Virginia. After finishing my training there, I worked alongside some of America's greatest chefs at a variety of hotels and resort to hone my skills. Thereafter, I took up travelling and cooking for people around the world as a private chef.
